CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) is a class of fatty acids produced by animals that are naturally found in beef and dairy products. Although CLA plays an important role in a number of cellular metabolic processes, humans are unable to produce CLA and can therefore only obtain it from their diet. While CLA is typically more abundant in pasture-raised animals, changes in agricultural practices have resulted in a reduction in the amount of CLA in our products, reducing its availability in modern diets. Therefore, it is recommended to use a CLA supplement to obtain the desired levels of CLA for its optimal effect.
